LMNB - Lager Mobilisation Network Berlin

protocol #7+8 – forming a ‘lager mobilisation network’ in berlin

free all lagers.

this is our 7+8th protocol to form a “lager mobilisation network” in berlin and maybe later on in brandenburg. again, around 15-25 people were there – thanks to u all. please add, correct and criticize in the comment section. the next meeting starts one hour earlier than usual on 6pm – more below.

protocol # 7+8 – forming a ‘lager mobilisation network’ in berlin
1. introduction of the group for the new freedom fighters
2. to dos and reports from lagers
3. information pool
4. next meeting

1. introduction of the network for the new freedom fighters
our goal is to have a decenteralized lager-mobilisation in berlin and hopefully one day in brandenburg. we already visited some lagers, did some research about the shit living conditions inside and how they are built to make money off of illegalized and isolated human beings we label as “refugees”. right now there are over 23.000 people (official number by lageso) just in berlin in lagers.

the lager-mobilisation-network is an OPEN network with decenteralized working groups against the slavery which taking place inside the lagers – so join like u want and your personal scheduele allows u to participate; plus we do NOT do anything “illegal”. we are people from all over the world and speak english during our meetings, but german translation is always possible, for other languages hit us up please – or if possible bring your friends with u.

after some re/thinking rounds, practical action and personal connection we developed two guidlines for the coming steps, but these ideas are dynamic and realated to our possibilites and the exprience we gain, a short summary:

I. short and mid-term:

a. we will go and talk with groups who know and can teach about the legal problems and educate ourselves in this direction and then visit again the lagers in small groups and spread this hardly needed information as the people asked us when we were visiting them; in addition to this we take info flyers etc. with us about the legal situations. we also invite (not force…) the so-called refugees living in those lagers we visit to be part of our group.

b. we want also be part of the “neighbourhood/welcoming-initiatives” and bring some alternative ideas and information from the self-organized struggle additional to their great charity work.

–> therefore we need some MORE people who speak different languages like: arabic, albanian, dari/farsi, serbo-croatian, tigrinya, urdu etc. – every languages is needed.

–> decentral working activists: people who are interessted to take care of the lagers in their around their living places like the districts they are living in and contact the people inside of lagers and participate in “neighbourhood/welcoming-initiatives” there – we (will) start very slow but very focused idea on this.

II. long-term:

we are searching for rooms all over berlin OUTSIDE but next to the lagers to build up small communities so people can organize themselves for the time they are forced to live inside of lagers. plus we will accompany them and try to bring alternative content like workshop etc. to those places – if its needed!

–> if u have a room or contact for such rooms (house projects, meeting-rooms), please let us know

–> if u know people for such content/workshops, please connect them to us

2. to dos and reports from lagers

west-berlin:

a.
– securtiy angry with visitors even they were invited and told the man from the lager that he will sleep on the street if invites people who dont speak his language
– u can contact people outside on the evening because they have nothing to do on the evening
– some nazis were around during the last week, but the police was called and nothing happend

b.
lager for youth
nobody outside on the evening –> go later next time
a lot of security, but not aggressive but its hard to connect with the people inside

c.
a huge tent lager
around 1000 peole living there
no privacy: 12 people in one bed
shit living standards: no showers
managment ran by people with right-wing/populist backround
east-berlin:

d.
120 people from 50 (syria, eritrea, pakistan and balkan only men)
former hostel
freebox room

far-east-berlin:

e.

f.
seelow – next to polish lager (please read our previous protocols)
syria, deportation danger: afghanistan, pakistan, albania, chad, kamerun)
they are moving 60 people to hoppegarten
3 people münchen, neuhardenberg
people in seelow are still insulting them
french translation need, some people speak french
people with IDcards and translated passports (lawyer and dentist) –> education no limitation
north-berlin:

g.

there is a mixed lager with the so-called refugees and homeless people (50-50%)
around 50 people from syria, west-africa (french speaking), bulgaria, serbia and romania
everybody gets the permission through bezirksamt and not lageso
some stay longer
they have shared kitchen and bath rooms
the lager direction “needs” written-down house rules and every 2 weeks counclings with translation

e.
this lager is ran by the protestant church
100 people: syrian
they need: volunatry work with families and kids etc.
führungszeugnis (punishment paper) needed

3. information pool

– thursday, 5th november there is an info-event for lager mibilisation in berlin-wedding:

– people around oplatz.net is working on a paper for legal steps against doportation

– new asylum law running, please inform yourself because more and faster deportations will take place NOW

– there was a EU-resultion with 17 points to make everything harder for the so-called refugees and use frontex in different places, plus there will be a lot of border controls, additional to this EU and especially germany want to start deport and scare people from afghanistan and pakistan (since when are this coutries safe?)
